Going on hold...

Hey everyone,..

First, I want to say thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to check out my game, play it, leave feedback, or even just give it a passing glance. It’s been an incredible journey working on this project, and your interest has meant the world to me.

But after a lot of reflection, I’ve decided to put the game on hold for now. This wasn’t an easy choice, and it’s not one I’ve made lightly. I’ve poured so much into this project, and it’s something I’m still incredibly passionate about. However, I’ve reached a point where continuing doesn’t feel sustainable, either for the project or for me as it's sole developer.

One of the major challenges I’ve faced is the stigma around using certain tools to create this game. As a solo developer, I’ve relied on tools like AI-generated art and assets to help fill the gaps where I lack the skills or the resources to create everything from scratch. I did this not because I wanted to cut corners, but because I wanted to bring my vision to life with the resources I had.

Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that many people are hesitant to engage with games that use these tools, even when the gameplay, story, and overall effort are what really matter. That feedback has been hard to swallow, but I understand where it’s coming from. People want to support creativity in its purest forms, and that’s something I respect deeply.

That said, I’ve reached a crossroads. Without a team or a larger budget (or lack there of), it’s hard to compete with the expectations that are often placed on indie games today. And while I’d love to keep pushing forward, I also need to step back and re-evaluate what’s next for this project and for myself as a creator.

For now, I’m putting this game on hold. That doesn’t mean it’s gone forever—far from it. This project has been a labor of love, and I still believe in the story I’m trying to tell. But I need time to figure out how to approach it in a way that aligns with both my vision and what the community seems to want.

To those who have supported me, I cannot thank you enough. Whether you played the game, gave feedback, or even just checked out the page, your support has meant everything. This isn’t goodbye, it’s just a pause. I’ll be back when the time is right, with fresh ideas, a clearer direction, and hopefully, a game that’s even better than what I’d originally envisioned.

Also my mental state is absolutely shot, I've had at least 3 breakdowns during this week cause I kept pushing myself past the brink to keep up with the standards that are placed upon an indie dev. I just want my game to do well but with the new AI Tag that Itch.io is enforcing people are actively avoiding games like mine and it's heartbreaking...

Thanks for sticking with me on this journey. Your encouragement and support are what keep me going.

Take care, and see you soon.

Love, Ethyrya~
